'ncase you do not know, the lovely person being viewed here is Anubis of Dark Fire. He's had a bad day - no duh - and in the corse of his story/history, he has a ton of those bad days. The poor thing. And yes, he's sleeping on the floor.
I literally hugged the picture in my sketch book. I felt so sorry for him. My poor babeh D: This is the most accurate picture I've ever drawn of him . . . and you can't even see his face. BUT That's not the point, the point is, I look down at the picture I'm holding in my hands (mind you, it's bigger, lighter, and better looking irl than the image you see), and I feel like I'm looking down at Anubis. And yes, he's sleeping on the floor.
--------- Now for the technical stuff:
I'd have to say this is the best full body picture of a human I've ever drawn. What's even better, I glanced at a male torso ref maybe once, but that was it.
Despite my improvements, it's still not perfect; far from it, actually. I'm sure there are SO many proportional and anatomical errors, umgush.
Done with pencil, photo taken with a crappy (but happy) digital camera.
I love the way you did this one, and everything is perfect except for the left leg. The leg can't bend at the side, and because of the way it does bend, you'd have the same sharp indent outward as with the right leg.
The pants can have a little give, to appear curved, but not that much. The leg has no give, when you're laying down try it and you'll notice only the foot bends. Just saying.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Other than that, love the perspective/anatomy.
